Pied Piper Nursery praised by inspectors
Pied Piper Nursery in Glasgow, has received a positive report following an unannounced visit from care inspectors at the end of October.
The Nursery, on Hector Road in the Shawlands area of the City, improved or maintained in all areas across the report, since the Care Inspectorate’s last visit in 2019, with top grades in areas including quality of care and support, quality of staffing and quality of management and leadership.
The report praised the Nursery for the commitment and professionalism of the team, and observed that children were relaxed and secure within their surroundings. The inspector also praised the range of play activities available and the ways in which the team were able to extend learning opportunities through open-ended questions.
The Nursery, which has spaces for 65 children aged 12 weeks to five years, was also praised for its response to Covid-19 and the guidelines in place, with the report stating that inspectors were “satisfied that mitigations were in place to reduce the risk of Covid 19”, through enhanced cleaning and effective handwashing routines.
Nursery Manager Carrie Lloyd said: “Our team have all worked so hard over the last eighteen months to ensure we were able to continue to provide incredible early years experiences and a home-from-home inclusive environment for the children in our care.
“We’re extremely pleased with the report and look forward to continuing to build on this success in the years to come.”
